2nd Grade Arts and Crafts June 2020

Welcome everyone!

This is going to be our little section for Arts and Crafts in 2nd Grade for June, I hope you enjoy it :)

I will update this section every week with a new craft or piece of art you can do at home. It is divided into months because I think it'll make everything easier in terms of organizing what you can do every week of every month :) 

The way we are going to work I think it's easy and simple for everyone. I will update this section with something you can do at home. Once you've finished you can send me and image of what you did to my gmail account so I can see the awesome job you did :)

Esta será nuestra pequeña sección del Blog para las clases de Arte de 2º de Primaria, espero que os guste :)

Actualizaré esta página de forma semanal con cosas que podéis hacer en casa. Está dividida en secciones porque creo que será más fácil encontrar qué podéis hacer cada semana y cada mes. 

Cómo vamos a trabajar es sencillo para todos, creo y espero. Cuando terminéis alguna de las propuestas que ponga aquí, me podéis mandar una imagen a la cuenta de correo que dejo más abajo, así puedo ver las obras de arte que hacéis.

JUNE WEEK 1 (1st - 5th)

We are going to start June with a new artist. This artist's name is Sonia Delaunay. 

Who was Sonia Delaunay? She was a French painter and designer focused on abstract artistic representations. Like the ones you'll se below ^^ 

These are some examples of the pieces of art she created. Now that we now a bit more of the style she had, we are going to see what we can related to her work ^^. 

Once you've seen some examples of human shapes, let me explain what you can do. 

We are going to create the shape of a person, using also geometrical shapes, like circles, rectangles and triangles, like the ones you see above. 

Castellano: esta semana vamos a trabajar sobre el arte de Sonia Delaunay. Puede parecer algo complicado, pero simplemente es como vemos en las últimas imágenes, tratar de hacer la forma de una persona, utilizando figuras geométricas como, círculos, triángulos y rectángulos.

JUNE WEEK 1 (8th - 12th)

This week we are going to do something called "Scribble Creatures". It's an easy activity yet really fun I think. 

What do you need for this activity?

- Piece of paper.

- Pencil or marker.

- Color pencils or markers.

Now that you know what you need, let me show you a picture of what we are doing this week. 

First you just have to do a big scribble, all over the paper. Do all the lines as you want, there's only one condition. Don't lift the pencil, do it in one go.

When you have the big scribble, we'll move on to the next step.

As you can see here, now it's time for you to be creative and do whatever you feel like drawing.
Use you imagination and complete the scribble, turning it into something different, into your own piece of art.

As a last step, if you want, you can color it, but that's of course, up to you :)

Castellano: lo que vamos a hacer esta semana "Criaturas Garabateadas". Es una actividad muy sencilla pero creo que también muy divertida. Solo necesitáis; un papel, lápiz y colores del tipo que queráis. 

Primero coged el papel y hacéis un garabato grade como queráis. La única condiciones es no levantar el lápiz del papel, la misma línea pero de una vez. 

Cuando tengáis el garabato, es el momento de dejaros llevar y hacer lo que queráis con los garabatos. Transformar esos garabatos en lo que se os ocurra para "darle vida" al dibujo. 

Finalmente, si queréis podéis colorearlo, esto lo dejo a vuestra elección.
